The Pro Vida Video system.
The optional ProVida video system is a valuable extra that records the traffic in front of and behind the Authority Vehicle. The recording also incorporates the time and date, and the speed of the vehicle in focus, ensuring a comprehensive record for evidentiary purposes. Authority Vehicles from the BMW 3 Series and BMW 5 Series ranges fitted with ProVida 2000 or Vidista VDM-R speed measurement devices can now be equipped with the world’s first control system for digital mobile traffic recording that has been calibrated by the relevant authorities to ensure admissibility in court.
Users can monitor what is happening both in front of and behind their vehicle. The front camera has a zoom function and is mounted in the rear-view mirror area. The rear-facing camera films the traffic behind the vehicle. It has a fixed focal length.
